About The Position
Mustang Cat is hiring Industrial Power Technicians for shop and field service roles. The position involves comprehensive maintenance and repair of industrial diesel and natural gas engine systems used in critical infrastructure throughout Texas. Technicians perform diagnostics, reconditioning, component testing, and related work independently or as part of a team in shop and field environments.
Requirements
- Must own the proper tools to perform necessary repairs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous mechanic or military experience working on engine systems.
- In-depth knowledge of engine, hydraulic, and electronic components.
- Strong technical, mechanical, and troubleshooting abilities.
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s degree or technical certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble and reassemble engines and perform precision reconditioning.
- Conduct diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and technical analysis.
- Remove and install industrial engines and generator sets.
- Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct failure analysis and testing to ensure peak performance.
- Work independently or as part of a team in shop and field environments.
