Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with a minimum of one year experience working on diesel powered vehicles and equipment.
- Knowledge in Diesel Mechanics.
- Knowledge in using diagnostic programs.
- Strong mechanical and technical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Own basic tools.
- Proof of authorization to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of background check and drug test.
- Acceptable physical examination.
Nice To Haves
- Certification in Diesel Mechanics is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Communicate all findings to lead on floor such as parts being needed and other key components that require other department attention.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other mechanical systems.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and identify problems.
- Write up on the repair order an accurate, clear, and detailed description of the cause of failure and the repair procedure used.
