About The Position

This is an opportunity for a Diesel Technician to make a real difference by keeping the community moving. The role supports the Bath (RSU1) School District and focuses on maintaining and repairing a fleet of school buses to ensure they remain safe, reliable, and ready to transport students. Requirements

At least 2 years of diesel or automotive maintenance and repair experience, or an equivalent combination of technical school education and hands-on experience.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Valid driver’s license required.
CDL Class B, or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire (company-paid training provided).
Must possess a mechanic’s tool set to perform assigned duties.
Willingness to participate in the ASE certification program (training, testing, and pay incentives provided).
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
This position is considered safety-sensitive and is subject to DOT drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance (PMs), annual inspections, and safety inspections.
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brakes, suspensions, steering systems, drive trains, transmissions, clutches, electrical systems, and other vehicle components.
Ensure all vehicles meet company, state, and federal safety standards.
Complete work orders accurately and efficiently.
Assist with mobile road calls and emergency repairs as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Work collaboratively with fellow technicians and location leadership to maximize fleet availability.

Competitive hourly pay: $29.00 – $33.00 per hour
Bonus pay increase for each ASE School Bus Series certification earned and maintained (up to an additional $2.00 per hour)
