The Service Technician II is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining motorcoaches and other commercial vehicles. This role performs a wide range of mechanical and electrical repairs on diesel-powered vehicles, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of motorcoach, diesel, or heavy commercial vehicle repair experience preferred.
  • Good organizational skills to include the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and complete assignments within expected time frames
  • Employees must possess the tools necessary to complete assigned responsibilities
  • Must be able to perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify mechanical and electrical repair needs.
  • Must be able to identify parts needed to effect repairs on vehicles being worked on
  • Must be EPA certified in Refrigerant handling or be able to pass the test within 30 days of being hired
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Interior Component repair/replacement
  • Audio/Video knowledge recommended not required
  • CDL Class B with passenger endorsement highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects, diagnoses, repairs, and maintains motorcoaches, commercial and non-commercial vehicles, and other vehicles or machines as directed.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment, free from hazards and unnecessary noise which could lead to distractions from the work at hand.
  • Understands and adheres to all company safety policies and procedures
  • Maintains compliance with all local, State, and Federal regulations applicable to operations, buildings, grounds, and personnel including but not limited to EPA, OSHA, and DOT.
  • Clearly document all repairs made on work orders using shop computers and associated software.
  • Accurately maintain and track time and attendance.
  • Work to expand knowledge and skill levels needed to perform maintenance and repairs effectively and efficiently on both customer and internal vehicles.
  • Demonstrate maturity and self-respect while upholding ABC’s core values at all times.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
