Nauset Disposal has an opening for a Diesel Mechanic to join their growing team at their site in South Yarmouth, MA. This role is for individuals with mechanical aptitude and a drive to learn and grow with a team. Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude, a drive to learn and grow with a team.
• Ability to adapt to a wide variety of environments to complete work assignments
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

• Welding/fabrication experience, a major plus

Responsibilities

• Assists experienced mechanics with vehicle maintenance and repairs, learning the trade under supervision.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trucks and equipment
• Conduct oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and lubrication
• Assist with brakes inspections, fluid levels, belts, hoses, and other key components
• Identify potential issues and report necessary repairs to the lead mechanic
• Maintain accurate service records and reports
• Keep work areas clean and organized in compliance with safety regulations
• Assist with minor repairs and support the mechanic team as needed
