They are currently seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic with expertise in Vac Trucks and Fleet maintenance to join their team in Taylor, MI. The role involves working on a diverse fleet of OTR trucks and equipment, and they are looking for a dependable, knowledgeable, and passionate individual committed to keeping trucks operational.

Requirements

5+ years of diesel mechanic experience (Fleet maintenance required)
Experience working on Vac trucks or similar specialty equipment
Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Ability to use diagnostic tools and read schematics
Must have own tools
High school diploma or GED
Ability to pass drug screening and background check

Nice To Haves

CDL A or B (preferred, or willing to obtain)

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks
Maintain and service a variety of fleet vehicles, including Vac trucks
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards
Complete work orders and maintain accurate service records
Respond to emergency breakdowns as needed
Collaborate with fleet manager to schedule routine maintenance
