About The Position

R&L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our Baltimore, MD Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This can include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding depending on location.

Requirements

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Must be able to handle major repairs.
• Experience with AC and Electrical systems.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Must have own tools.

Nice To Haves

• 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred.
• Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines.
• Experience using Cetaris for work orders.
• Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs.
• LPMECH

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day equipment maintenance on fleet equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks and trailers.
• Potentially perform maintenance on forklifts.
• Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, and dollies.
• Perform welding as needed depending on location.

Benefits

• Up to $40.35/hr.
• Full-Time employment.
• Monday - Friday, 3rd shift (12:00 am to 10:30 am).
