About The Position

Viking is seeking an experienced versatile mechanic to join our maintenance team. The basic function of this role is to perform maintenance and repair on company vehicles, forklifts, and other machinery.

Requirements

• Proven experience as Mechanic
• Excellent knowledge of Vehicles
• Basic Reading Skills
• Lifting up to 100 pounds
• 5 years of Diesel Engine Repair experience
• Mechanical Knowledge

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble vehicle components according to requirements
• Inspect Vehicles, engines, transmissions, etc. and run diagnostic tests discover functionality issues
• Conduct repairs
• Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
• Perform through maintenance on vehicles, trucks, forklifts and other machinery
• Clean and apply lubricants
• Replenish fluids and components of engines and vehicles
• Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, painting vehicles etc)
• Keep logs of work and report on issues
