This role is for a Diesel Mechanic responsible for performing routine maintenance, adjustments, repairs, and diagnostics on various diesel equipment, including class 6 through 8 diesel equipment, forklifts, and trailing equipment. The mechanic will access equipment for maintenance, repair or rebuild systems, troubleshoot issues, and perform HVAC system repairs. They must also adhere to DOT, EPA, Interstate Authority, OSHA, and other regulations, conduct safety inspections, and maintain proficiency with relevant equipment and technologies. The position involves moving trailers using a hostler in various weather conditions, documenting repair activities, operating specialized tools and vehicles, and ensuring a clean and safe work area. Interaction with operations and shop management is also a key part of the role.
