Diesel Mechanic - Day Shift

The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining and repairing company fleet vehicles, including semi-trucks, trailers, hydrovacs, crew trucks and related machinery. This position performs preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to keep equipment running safely and efficiently while supporting daily operations and reducing down time.
Requirements
- 2+ years of mechanic experience working with heavy trucks, diesel engines, trailers, construction equipment, or related fleet equipment
- Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize repairs
- Dependable, self-motivated, and safety conscious
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with operations personnel
- Must be able to commute to Ault, CO
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
- Valid driver's license with clean MVR
Nice To Haves
- Hydrovac equipment experience
- Experience with hydraulic systems, PTO systems or vacuum systems
- DOT inspections and fleet compliance experience
Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy duty trucks, trailers, hydrovacs, diesel engines, light duty vehicles, generators and other company equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance services including oil changes, brake work, fluid checks, tire service and scheduled inspections
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical issues to minimize downtime
- Complete repairs accurately and in a timely manner to support daily operations
- Maintain service records, repair logs, and preventative maintenance documentation
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure all equipment is in safe operating condition
- Respond to field service calls or emergency repair as needed
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
