About The Position

The Mechanic position is a full-time role focused on maintaining hospital machinery and equipment. This includes answering trouble calls, reacting appropriately in emergency situations, and providing emergency response to all Plant Operations equipment and tube systems. The role requires the ability to understand and manipulate computer systems and interpret blueprints. Weekend work and shift rotation may be required.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent is required, with courses in shop, mathematics, mechanics, and general science.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Ability to understand and manipulate systems computers.
  • Capable of reading, understanding, and interpreting blueprints.
  • Weekend work and shift rotation may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school in mechanical maintenance, construction, electrical/electronics, and welding is preferred, or a combination of education/training and experience working in maintenance repair and troubleshooting.
