About The Position

We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic motivated by keeping a supply chain in motion. In this role, you will be an essential partner ensuring the safe and efficient transport of critical products by maintaining and optimizing equipment. You will expertly maintain, repair, and overhaul diesel tractors and specialized systems to ensure all equipment meets DOT standards and safety protocols. You will also implement creative solutions to ensure smooth equipment flow and translate maintenance reports into impactful service strategies. Partnering with the team, you will communicate technical needs clearly while cultivating a "Safety First" environment focused on proactive maintenance.

Requirements

• 2+ years of tractor-trailer maintenance/mechanical experience
• Experience with a variety of basic hand, power tools and equipment.
• Knowledgeable in gasoline engine mechanics and preventative maintenance.
• Valid Driver’s License (non CDL).
• Must bring own basic hand tools.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), two years technical college or military technical experience.
• Familiarity or interest in cryogenics.
• Familiarity or interest in hydraulics.
• Class A CDL with HazMat; DOT brake certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Expertly maintain, repair, and overhaul diesel tractors and specialized systems to ensure all equipment meets DOT standards and safety protocols.
• Implement creative solutions to ensure smooth equipment flow and translate maintenance reports into impactful service strategies.
• Partner with the team to communicate technical needs clearly while cultivating a "Safety First" environment focused on proactive maintenance.
• As required to repair pumping equipment on work sites and district shops to assist in maintaining equipment.
