About The Position

This position is responsible for maintenance and preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Requirements

• 1 year of previous experience in industrial maintenance
• Must supply own tools for minimum maintenance
• Must be able to use basic electrical, pneumatic and hand tools
• Must have ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders up to 20 feet
• Must be able to bend, stretch, reach
• Must be able to work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors
• Must be able to read and understand assignments
• Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing
• Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Valid Driver's License
• Clean driving record

• Maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture
• Receive training as required
• Perform various positions as required/assigned
• Maintenance and preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers
• Perform air brake, electrical and air conditioning work
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
