About The Position

American Disposal is seeking a safety-conscious Diesel Mechanic to work the second (night) shift in Manassas, Virginia. The role performs repairs, including work on electrical and hydraulic systems, and assigned preventive maintenance services. The mechanic uses vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes and initiate or assign repairs, conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment, and completes repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. The position also requires completing paperwork in fleet maintenance software to document vehicle repairs, parts usage, and repair times, and maintaining a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards. Requirements

Be safety conscious.
Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
