About The Position

WM is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join their team. This role offers a safer work environment, opportunities for career progression, and stability. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for fixing trucks and equipment that service over 20 million customers across the USA. Mechanics will work on equipment requiring a high level of skill, using modern tools and procedures for maintenance on diesel and CNG trucks. The position emphasizes safety and community support through reliable vehicle maintenance.

Requirements

2 years of relevant work experience
A valid driver's license.
Be over 18 years of age.
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
Must have own tools

Able to do 2-week training in Arizona

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
Conduct safety checks on vehicles.
Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
Assist senior Mechanics in the completion of project work.
Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
