Diesel Mechanic - Tech B - Pembroke Pines, FL
About The Position
Waste Pro is hiring an experienced Diesel Mechanic (Tech B) in Pembroke Pines, Florida. This role involves performing inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy-duty and light-duty fleet vehicles. The mechanic will troubleshoot and repair various vehicle systems including suspension, brakes, electrical, hydraulic, engine, and transmission. Responsibilities include using diagnostic software, onboard vehicle electronics, and factory service manuals, as well as reviewing and completing repairs identified through Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) and work orders. The position also entails conducting preventative maintenance and safety inspections, communicating repair findings, maintaining a safe shop environment, and assisting junior technicians.
Requirements
- Experience with Electrical System Inspections, Diagnosis & Repair
- Experience with Brake System Inspections, Diagnosis & Repair
- Experience with Suspension Inspections, Diagnosis & Repair
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills on diesel-powered equipment
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and interpret service manuals
- Knowledge of Hydraulic Systems
Nice To Haves
- CDL Class B (or ability to obtain within 12 months) preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy-duty and light-duty fleet vehicles.

- Attend and participate in corporation-sponsored training courses as assigned.
- Keep up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro.
- Perform any additional job duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
