About The Position

Requirements

Two year certificate from college or technical school, four years related experience or combination of education and experience preferred.
Hold or be willing to obtain a Class A CDL with Airbrake endorsement.
Must meet company driver qualifications, and willing to obtain State Safety Inspection certification.
Communicate effectively with all members of the organization.
Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine corrective action for necessary repair.
Inspect vehicles for defective equipment.
Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on all fleet vehicle systems.
Overhaul gas and/or diesel engines.
Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices and make adjustments.
Lubricate moving parts and drives or operates repaired vehicles and equipment to verify conformance to specifications.
Installs special lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices according to technical manuals or schematic drawings.
Performs minor maintenance and repair of building and plant equipment including, air-conditioning, plumbing, cable installation and other mechanical related components.
