About The Position

Our Clarke Vehicare team is currently looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic - Truck Technician to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. In this role, Technician will perform truck repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles and work closely with other team members to meet company goals.

Requirements

• 5 years of relevant experience preferred
• One year certificate from college or technical school, with related repair experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the last 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years (ie., DUI/DWI).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
• Must be able to obtain DOT Med Card

Nice To Haves

• CDL or ability to acquire CDL
• ASE certifications.

Responsibilities

• Performs PMIs on tractors, trailers and other diesel-powered equipment.
• Perform all types of brake, steering & suspension, electrical, and A/C, & minor engine repairs.
• Test drive vehicles under 26,000 GVW.
• Assist other technicians when needed.
• Work in the shop, as needed
• Must be able to work independently.
• Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.
