About The Position

Allstate Peterbilt Group is seeking a Diesel Mechanic/Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and overhaul diesel engines and truck systems. Technicians use industry-leading diagnostic equipment to identify the root causes of system failures, determine needed services, and complete repairs. The role includes work on a range of driveline and chassis components and applying OEM procedures to complex repairs. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Dependable and reliable attendance.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 75 pounds.
• Frequent bending and twisting.
• Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner.
• Must pass a drug test before beginning employment.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic equipment to determine the root cause of system failures.
• Determine services required to repair equipment and perform failure analysis.
• Complete repairs and rebuilds or overhauls on a variety of diesel engines.
• Diagnose and repair driveline and chassis components, including clutches, fan hubs, differentials, fifth wheels, suspension, brakes, and transmissions.
• Follow OEM-documented procedures and policies for complex repairs, including identifying required parts and tools.
