About The Position
The company is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join its Hawaii-based fleet service team. The role involves servicing diesel- and gas-powered trucks, vans, and medium- and heavy-duty vehicles. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday on a day shift, with set hours to be confirmed during the interview. Pay is $30–$35+ per hour, depending on experience, and is hourly rather than flat rate. The hiring process includes a brief phone screen followed by local interviews.
Requirements
- 3–4 years of experience as a diesel or fleet mechanic.
- GED or high school diploma.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must have own tools.
- Must pass a background check.
- Strong accountability and customer service mindset.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel- and gas-powered trucks, vans, and medium- and heavy-duty vehicles.
- Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
- Conduct test drives and make system adjustments as needed.
- Maintain accurate service records and manage shop equipment.
- Conduct field repairs in various weather conditions.
