About The Position

Reyes Fleet Management, one of the largest privately held fleets in the US, is looking to hire a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician B to perform repairs and maintenance on our tractor and trailer equipment at our Martin Brower shop in Coatesville, PA. This role involves inspecting, repairing, and performing routine preventative maintenance on fleet equipment, including standard component inspections and repairs. The technician will also be responsible for accurate documentation of all work performed, parts used, and repairs/inspections completed using the online AssetWorks system. Additionally, the position requires learning to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, adhering to all company and regulatory policies (DOT, OSHA), and maintaining compliance with safety programs. This role is regulated by the DOT and requires maintaining a driver qualification file, including MVR checks, DOT Physicals, and safety performance history records. CDL holders will also undergo DOT drug screening and FMSCA Clearinghouse reviews. Other projects and duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Current driver's license
  • Ability to maintain a driver qualification file
  • Successfully completed DOT Physical
  • Ability to pass a DOT Drug Screening (for CDL holders)
  • Ability to pass an FMSCA Clearinghouse review (for CDL holders)

Responsibilities

  • Accurately inspect, repair, and complete routine preventative maintenance of Fleet Equipment, including standard component inspections and repairs.
  • Complete necessary documentation for repairs and maintenance while maintaining accurate records of work performed, parts used, and repairs/inspections completed through the online AssetWorks system.
  • Learn and assist diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
  • Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices.
  • Drive Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles as required by the role, which is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file.
