About The Position

Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Diesel Technician B to help with repairs and maintenance on trailer/tractor equipment at their facility shop in Eagan, MN. This is a full-time, 2nd shift position, Tuesday-Friday from 12:00 PM-10:30 PM. The role involves accurately inspecting, repairing, and completing routine preventative maintenance of fleet equipment, including standard component inspections and repairs. The technician will also be responsible for necessary documentation through the online AssetWorks system and will learn to assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Adherence to all company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations, including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, is required. The position involves driving company vehicles and requires maintaining a current driver qualification file, which includes an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records requests. CDL holders will also be subject to a DOT Drug Screening and FMSCA Clearinghouse review.

Requirements

High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 2 plus years of related experience
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must possess own tools.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds
Successfully completed a DOT Physical
Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years
DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start (for CDL holders)
FMSCA Clearinghouse review (for CDL holders)

Responsibilities

Responsible for accurately inspecting, repairing and completing routine preventative maintenance of Fleet Equipment, including standard component inspections and repairs.
Complete necessary documentation for repairs and maintenance while maintaining accurate records of work performed, parts used, and repairs/inspections completed through the online AssetWorks system.
Learn and assist diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices.
This position requires driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review.
