About The Position

Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Fleet Diesel Mechanic A to help with repairs and maintenance on trailer/tractor equipment at our facility shop in McCook, IL. This is a full-time position on the 3rd Shift, working Wednesday-Saturday from 10:00 PM to 8:30 AM, with Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays off. The pay starts at $31.00-$37.00 per hour, with an additional $2.00 per hour for the shift differential and a $1.00 per hour CDL incentive for active CDL A or B license holders. Pay is based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

Experience/qualifications will determine pay
Must have an active CDL A or B license to receive CDL incentive pay
Must maintain a current driver qualification file, including annual MVR check, DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records
CDL holders must pass a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and be subject to an FMSCA Clearinghouse review

Responsibilities

Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts)
Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable
Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices
This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role.
The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years.
Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review
