The Diesel/Auto Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing repairs on forklifts, pallet jacks, fire fans, automobiles, and Diesel Trucks. This includes rebuilding transmissions, rear ends, and motors, covering all facets of automotive repair. The role requires the ability to work overtime and weekends as needed, possess strong communication skills, and maintain a good attendance record. The position also demands the physical ability to use hands, legs, and feet to work on all equipment, bend, twist, turn, walk, and stand for the duration of the shift. Safety and food safety standards are paramount, and the mechanic must comply with Tyson policies, food safety requirements, OSHA regulations, and plant procedures.
