About The Position

The Die Shop Product Engineer will manage all drawings for the Wampum Site, including plant layout, machinery, and dies. This role is responsible for ensuring timely completion of RFQs, creating and reviewing technical drawings for new and existing dies/parts, and managing engineering costs for new die manufacturing. The position also involves working with purchasing to ensure BOMs are correct, performing reverse engineering on existing equipment, and supporting prototyping efforts. Additionally, the engineer will coordinate with vendors, aid in improving production processes, and maintain revision control of all documents. Occasional regional travel may be required for test fits at customer sites.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree from an accredited college
  • Proven experience in die design and development
  • Experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly
  • Working knowledge of safety protocols
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks is required
  • Strong understanding of cost management principles
  • Excellent project management and communication skills
  • Deep knowledge of die design, SolidWorks and manufacturing processes
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze designs, costs, and project requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills for addressing technical and logistical challenges
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to create technical documents/blueprints for fabricators and machinists
  • Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Valid state issued drivers’ license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities
