Requirements
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Basic math skills
- Ability to use Micrometers, Calipers, Scales, Hilo License
Responsibilities
- Setup dies, fixtures, or assemblies assigned to production operators in accordance with MIOSHA standards and company procedures
- Interprets specifications
- Reports equipment failures and unusual sounds of equipment
- Coordinate pre-stage items for die change
- Selects and sets speed and feed of machine according to type of operation and specified material and finish
- Starts machine to obtain first run workpiece and verifies dimensional tolerances
- Inspects components and assemblies visually for quality defects including scrap marks, rust, burrs, lamination, etc...
- Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor
