About The Position

The Die Setter Operator is responsible for retrieving and setting tooling and dies in the press. This role involves using check cards and master samples to ensure specifications are met, making test parts, and inspecting them. The Die Setter will make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and will verify product quality using inspection and measuring equipment. Essential functions include following safety and environmental procedures, maintaining good attendance, communicating effectively, accurately using quality tools, comparing parts to standards, and entering inventory information into the ERP system. The role also includes setting up and programming equipment, operating the press, executing the scheduling board, and operating a drill press as needed.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Ability to read, understand and follow directions on Inspection cards to ensure quality
Ability to use quality inspection equipment
Proficient and basic math and computer skills
Basic mechanical knowledge

Responsibilities

Retrieve tooling and set tooling and dies in press.
Use check card and master sample for specifications to accurately make test part and inspect.
Make adjustments to ensure quality.
Green tag first good part.
Verify product quality by inspection and measuring equipment.
Follow safety and environmental procedures.
Come to work every day, on time as scheduled.
Accurately read and use quality tools to ensure quality parts.
Compare parts to check card and master sample to ensure they meet standards and specifications to verify product quality.
Use computer to enter part information/inventory in ERP system.
Setup and program equipment.
Operate press.
Execute scheduling board.
Operate drill press as needed.
