About The Position

Dynacast, LLC, a Form Technologies Company, is a leading global manufacturer of small engineered precision components utilizing proprietary multi-slide die casting technology and tooling techniques. We currently have an opening for a Die Repairman on 2nd shift.

Requirements

• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or minimum three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be familiar with precision measuring tools and have the ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to lift / move up to 50 lbs. unassisted.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using overhead cranes a plus.

Responsibilities

• Make necessary adjustments to tooling; ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings.
• Troubleshoot and repair tooling that is not performing to standards. Utilize root cause analysis.
• Works on mills and grinders.
• Disassemble and assemble parts to make, repair or modify dies and tools, using machine tools and hand tools.
• Inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects.
• Competency in using precision measurement equipment and maintain tolerances.
• Responsible for following all safety procedures / regulations and keeping immediate work area clean.
• Additional projects may be assigned by the Tool Room Supervisor.
