Requirements
- Mechanical experience (1+ years) required
- Valid driver license required
- Must pass drug screening and eRailSafe background check to meet the U.S. Department of Homeland Security requirements as required by the railroad on a post-offer basis
- Social Security number required
Nice To Haves
- AWS D15.1 Welding Certification is a plus
Responsibilities
- Repairing all types of rail cars using hand tools, cutting torches and welding equipment
- Performing inspections in accordance with AAR, FRA, Railroad rules, company policies and safety procedures
