About The Position

Inspect, test, and maintain new and reworked tools, dies, gauges, jigs, and fixtures to ensure proper operation and conformance to specifications. This role requires adherence to company policies, Quality and Environmental Management Systems (QMS & EMS), Kawasaki Production System (KPS), and legal/compliance regulations like OSHA. The technician will repair, maintain, and modify jigs, fixtures, and dies to support the die process, and may prepare dies for repair by cleaning and moving them. Responsibilities include inputting die history into an electronic database, suggesting improvements to the die process or equipment, performing tests to determine maintenance needs, potentially training team members, and communicating with all shifts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Welding certification
  • 6 months welding experience

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test, and maintain new and reworked tools, dies, gauges, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Ensure proper operation and conformance to specifications of tools, dies, gauges, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Follow all company Policies and Procedures, Quality and Environmental Management Systems (QMS & EMS), Kawasaki Production System (KPS) and any other legal and compliance regulations that may apply such as OSHA.
  • Repair, maintain, and modify jigs, fixtures, and dies to support proper function and quality of the die process.
  • Prepare die for repair by cleaning and moving to repair area.
  • Input die history into electronic database system.
  • Suggest improvements to die process or equipment and collaborate with others to support implementation.
  • Perform tests or inspections to determine maintenance needs.
  • Train team members.
  • Communicate with all shifts and share work and other issues.
