Requirements

  • Ability to prioritize and assign workload for the team.
  • Ability to direct training of workers to improve department performance.
  • Ability to maintain and upgrade fixtures and gauges.
  • Ability to study specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models or descriptions and visualize product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts.
  • Ability to perform extensive die maintenance such as rebuilding die sections, retiming pads and forms and engineering changes on all types of dies.
  • Ability to make decisions and judgments about proper course of action for repair and maintenance.
  • Ability to examine standard or previously used dies, tools, jigs and fixtures to recommend design modifications regarding construction and function of part.
  • Ability to determine specifications for inspection of work, using full range of precision measuring and gauging tools to perform inspection before, during and after machining.
