Die Cutting Oper
About The Position
The Die Cutting Operator performs setup and make-ready on the machine, accurately places dies into position, and adjusts pressure, feeding, and delivery sections of the machine. This role also involves performing maintenance on equipment, assuring proper registration of product, loading product into the feed section of the press, and keeping management informed of safety, quality, and productivity issues. The operator follows instructions from the job ticket, completes proper paperwork, and instructs and trains others. Effective communication within a team environment encompassing all shifts is essential. The role also includes performing other duties as directed, assigned, or requested.
Requirements
- Minimum of high school education or equivalent
- 3 year of related die cutting, foil stamping and embossing experience
- Required to read and write, follow verbal instructions and use simple math
- Must have ability to handle multiple tasks both mentally and physically
- Must possess a high degree of physical coordination
- Must possess a high mechanical aptitude
- Must have ability to achieve acceptable levels for safety, quality, and productivity
- Must be able to work well with others as well as independently
