Die Cutter/Sheeter Operator
About The Position
Oak Hills Carton Company is hiring a Die Cutter/Sheeter Operator to produce high-quality paperboard products. The operator will learn specialized equipment, develop manufacturing skills, and contribute to delivering quality products to customers. Paid, hands-on training is provided, including for mechanically inclined applicants who are dependable and eager to learn. Starting pay is based on experience, with opportunities for wage growth as skills and responsibilities increase. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with no weekend work. Occasional overtime is available on Fridays but is not mandated. The role is performed in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to regularly walk, stand, stoop, and bend, and lift up to 70 pounds.
- Active listening and attention to detail.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable attendance and a positive work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong service mindset and commitment to helping others.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of machine operation or manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Experience operating converting, die-cutting, sheeting, printing, packaging, or other production equipment.
- Experience performing routine machine maintenance and adjustments.
Responsibilities
- Operate a die cutter and/or sheeter.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and prepare jobs.
- Follow safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records.
