About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Die Cutter Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining die cutting equipment to produce high-quality packaging materials that meet customer specifications. Ideal candidates will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and prior experience with flatbed die cutting equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of die cutting experience (flatbed preferred)
• Experience with board stock and paper materials required
• Strong mechanical aptitude (testing may be required)
• Ability to read rulers, calipers, micrometers, and inspection tools
• Basic math and computer/data entry skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and SOPs
• Knowledge of die repair, make-ready processes, and cutting adjustments
• Ability to recognize common packaging defects
• Must pass color vision and color hue tests
• Reliable attendance and ability to work overtime

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Bobst equipment preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain die cutting equipment
• Read and interpret job tickets, specifications, and production instructions
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
• Perform make-readies and troubleshoot equipment issues
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance (daily, weekly, monthly)
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
• Identify and correct packaging defects (cracking, tearing, misalignment, etc.)
• Maintain accurate production and downtime records
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Collaborate with team members to maximize production efficiency
• Train other operators as needed
