About The Position

We are seeking motivated candidates for our Erlanger, Kentucky facility, just minutes from Cincinnati, Ohio. A Paper Die Cut Machine Operator, or a Cutter is responsible for setting up and operating die-cutting machinery to produce high-quality paper products according to customer specifications and production schedules. This role requires a strong understanding of the paper die-cutting processes, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of die-cutting processes for paper.
  • Ability to read and interpret job specifications and instructions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills.
  • Ability to use measuring tools and gauges.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
  • Math and Ruler skills: The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals is required.

  • Ability to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for the duration of a scheduled shift (8–12 hours).
  • Must be able to frequently bend, reach, crouch, or stoop.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally from floor to waist and waist to shoulder.
  • Constant repetitive grasping and fine motor manipulation of paper materials and machine components.
  • Frequent twisting of the torso and lifting above shoulder height.
  • Must possess tactile/touch sensitivity in hands and digits.
  • Near and far visual acuity, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are required for quality control and safe machine operation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating die cutting machines, preferably in a paper converting or printing environment

Responsibilities

  • Reads order jacket to determine specifications of order to be cut.
  • Set up die-cutting machines, including loading dies, adjusting pressure and speed, and ensuring proper alignment on a wide variety of equipment in Manufacturing.
  • Operate the machines safely and efficiently to cut paper stock according to job specifications.
  • Ensure that all products meet quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Proactively identify and address potential quality issues.
  • Performs minor maintenance tasks on machinery.
  • Completes paperwork at end of tasks
