As Die Cut Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of die cut equipment. You will support day-to-day production by coordinating work assignments for packing personnel, assisting operators with equipment set-up and operation, and helping to resolve issues quickly to minimise downtime. In this role, you will also provide troubleshooting support and make equipment adjustments as needed to keep production running smoothly and at peak efficiency. This is a hands-on position that requires strong operational awareness, problem-solving skills and the ability to support both people and process performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain current OSHA Certified Powered Industrial Vehicle operator license.
• Minimum of two (2) years of industrial experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have exhibited excellent attendance in prior work history and be committed to maintaining such attendance. This is a key qualification, due to the unusual nature of the operation.
• Observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly.
• Accurately count and perform basic math functions, including mental calculation of simple equations and/or fractions.
• Must be able to sufficiently read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Support daily production activities and help the team work efficiently
• Guide associates on shift and assign daily work areas and responsibilities
• Ensure all labels and dies are prepared at least 30 minutes before changeover
• Assist with equipment troubleshooting and provide support to maintenance and production teams
• Communicate ongoing issues, priorities and schedule changes with other leads
• Lead the HPT meeting at the start of each shift
• Promote safety at all times and ensure safe working practices are followed
• Help the team meet daily production targets
• Complete first-piece inspections for each new product and sign off accordingly
• Verify that the correct raw materials are being used during production
• Support training efforts and check in with trainees regularly
• Complete required paperwork accurately and on time
• Maintain continuous improvement standards and contribute to process improvements
