About The Position

The Die Cut Catcher/Palletizer is responsible for inspecting product and placing it on pallets. This role involves the operation of packing finished product onto correct pallets neatly to prepare for finishing, operating a pallet jack safely, and performing quality control inspections of the product being produced. The individual must ensure products are not mixed when building pallets and bring any discrepancies to the supervisor’s attention immediately. They are also responsible for ensuring pallets are put together with correct pallet tags and stacked neatly. This role supports minimizing the scope of remakes by identifying problems in a timely fashion through inspection and provides information to the operator, production lead, and/or management during the production run to minimize waste. The position requires completing all documentation and reporting in the ERP accurately, keeping the work area clean and orderly, and informing the supervisor of supply needs. Adherence to all safety requirements including GMP’s, PPE’s, HACCP, and JSA regulations is mandatory. When the machine is down, the catcher/palletizer will make and label boxes, clean up the work area, remove unnecessary garbage, stock machines with pallets and tape for the next shift, and assist the operator with any tasks that can be done.

Requirements

  • A minimum of one-year experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experienced in using RF scanner for WMS transactions as required for position.
  • Able to operate a manual pallet jack and/or an electric pallet jack and forklift as required for position.
  • Proficiency in the use of hand tools and the ability to operate them effectively.
  • Able to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, internal quality procedures, and machine operating procedures.
  • Able to communicate production issues to supervisors and others in work area.
  • Basic mathematics (i.e. counting).

  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • When Machine is down: Make boxes and label boxes.
  • When Machine is down: Clean-up work area.
  • When Machine is down: Remove or clean-up any unnecessary garbage.
  • When Machine is down: Stock machines with pallets, tape, etc. for next shift.
  • When Machine is down: Assist operator with any task that can be done.
