Requirements

• Experience in die correcting (1+ year preferred).
• Background in welding, machining, or die repair is a strong plus.
• Ability to read die prints and use precision measuring tools.
• Experience operating a forklift and/or overhead crane.
• Basic data entry skills and comfort working with small hand tools.
• Familiarity with hazardous or caustic materials is helpful.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, correct, assemble, and polish extrusion dies to ensure proper flatness, square-ness, and overall quality.
• Receive and inspect new dies, create die folders, and prepare dies for their first production run.
• Make adjustments and corrections as needed to keep dies within tolerance.
• Maintain accurate logs of die locations, history, and condition.
• Delegate tasks to Die Runners and support them with staging, pulling, rinsing, drying, sandblasting, and caustic tank processing.
• Assist with die setup at the press and serve as a backup for Die Runner duties.
• Operate hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, barring squares, sanders, and flatness gauges.
• Process purchase orders for new dies with supervisor approval.
