About The Position

DaVita is looking for a Dialysis Tech (PCT) to serve our patients at our Marietta Dialysis Center in Marietta, OH. Paid training provided! This role involves direct patient care, spending the majority of the day in one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment. PCTs care for up to 4-5 patients at a time. Technician duties include preparing the water room, mixing bicarb for patients, testing water for chlorine, and calibrating tools. You will monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, measuring and recording stats, making patient observations, and setting up the hemodialysis machine. This role involves exposure to blood and needles. You will also be responsible for educating patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics. You will work as part of a cross-functional team of clinicians including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leadership, working under the supervision of an RN. Shifts can begin as early as 2:00 am and vary based on patient needs.

  • Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet.
  • Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
  • Ability to lift minimum of 5 pounds to a maximum of 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Able to perform repetitive standing, sitting, stooping, walking, stretching, reaching, and use full range of body motions.
  • Ability to interact in person and by phone clearly and efficiently.
  • Ability to use computer and all peripherals as needed to meet goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Health care experience preferred including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.
