About The Position

DaVita is looking for a Dialysis Tech (PCT) to serve our patients at our Amherst Dialysis Center in Lorain, OH. This role involves direct patient care, providing safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment. PCTs care for up to 4-5 patients at a time, monitoring them before, during, and after dialysis treatment. This includes measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup. The role also involves educating patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics and working within a cross-functional team of clinicians. Training is provided, and there are opportunities for career growth within DaVita.

• Willingness to train.

Nice To Haves

• Experience Preferred
• Health care experience preferred including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment.
• Care for up to 4-5 patients at a time.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment.
• Measure and record patient stats.
• Make patient observations.
• Perform hemodialysis machine setup.
• Educate patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics.
• Prepare the water room and bicarb for patients.
• Test water for chlorine.
• Calibrate tools.
• Work under the supervision of an RN.
• Work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
