About The Position

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. (DCI) is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide specialized nursing care in an in-center hemodialysis unit as part of a patient care team. The role focuses on safe, individualized care and high-quality outcomes for patients with chronic kidney disease. Nurses work in a comfortable clinical setting with a lower caregiver-to-patient ratio than other providers and help build supportive relationships with patients.

This is a full-time position consisting of three 12-hour shifts beginning at 5 a.m. Sundays are off, and there are no overnight shifts. Dialysis experience is not required. DCI provides three months of comprehensive training, including classroom sessions and one-on-one skills training; paid training with a preceptor is also offered. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

DCI is a nonprofit dialysis provider with more than 270 locations in 30 states. The organization supports its care teams and funds research into kidney care and treatment options.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the dialysis machine, alarms, and treatment supplies, and ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform hemodialysis treatments in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Provide ongoing patient education, training, and health coaching.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, assess changes, and communicate them to physicians and families.
• Administer and chart prescribed medications.
• Follow CDC and CMS infection-control regulations.
• Participate in patient care conferences, rounds, and chart reviews.
• Document required patient education efforts.
• Facilitate continuity of care with local hospitals.
• Assist with medication inventory maintenance.
• Lead a small patient care team.
• Contribute to onboarding new staff members as directed.
• Perform additional tasks as requested.
