About The Position

Concerto Renal Services is seeking a Dialysis Technician to provide safe and effective hemodialysis therapy to patients in a skilled nursing facility and/or long-term care facility. The position is part of the hemodialysis health care team and works under the supervision of a licensed nurse, following Concerto policies, procedures, and training, as well as applicable state and federal regulations. The technician provides hands-on patient care, operates and checks hemodialysis equipment, monitors and documents patient status and treatment details, prepares laboratory specimens, and helps maintain a clean and safe environment. The position is located at Meadowbrook Manor LaGrange in La Grange, Illinois. It is full-time and offers a three-day work week.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current CPR certification or completion upon starting in the unit.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
Minimum of two years of dialysis technician experience.
Dialysis certification required.
Must pass Ishihara’s Color Blindness test.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on care to assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse, including initiating and discontinuing dialysis treatments according to prescribed orders.
Obtain and document pre- and post-treatment vital signs, weight, and vascular access assessments, and report unusual findings to the nurse.
Set up, operate, and perform safety checks on hemodialysis machines.
Administer heparin as permitted by state law.
Accurately document patient treatment details and prepare laboratory specimens as prescribed.
Deliver excellent service to patients, families, and staff.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
