Dialysis Experienced Patient Care Technician - OCDT

DaVita Kidney CareHuber Heights, OH
Onsite

About The Position

DaVita Kidney Care is expanding its services to patients in skilled nursing facilities (SNF) through a new team called DaVita Skilled Nursing Dialysis Services. This initiative aims to provide industry-leading clinical quality directly to SNF residents, reducing the burden on patients who would otherwise need to travel for dialysis. The DSD Services team will leverage DaVita's resources to grow this new service line. Ideal candidates will have significant DaVita experience, thrive in a start-up environment, be passionate about improving patient lives, and demonstrate a "get stuff done" attitude. Teammates must be comfortable working autonomously and collaborating with cross-functional teams. In this role, you will be responsible for the complete ongoing care of each patient to ensure their dialysis treatment stays on track, working in conjunction with dialysis RNs. The primary work schedule is Full-Time, based at The Laurels of Huber Heights, with potential to support surrounding sites. Operations run Monday through Saturday, with scheduled days varying based on market needs. Patient care involves direct, one-on-one interaction to provide safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment. This is a complex but fulfilling service line where meeting and exceeding clinical outcomes is key, and multitasking is expected to meet the needs of the service, patients, and SNF partners. You will provide comprehensive patient care in an independent setting, requiring constant critical thinking and application of core skills to monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, including measuring stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup. The training program includes classroom and hands-on learning through DaVita’s award-winning programs, which may take place in a facility or training clinic. Hours during training may vary, typically between 32-40 hours per week. You may also be asked to support other local SNF dens.
