About The Position

A licensed clinical psychologist provides on-site comprehensive autism diagnostic evaluations in accordance with all professional best practices and guidelines. The clinician will work closely with all relevant organizational stakeholders to ensure timeliness and efficient services for consumers.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology program
  • Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Health Service Provider) in the states of IL and MO, or willing/able to obtain
  • Eligible for enrollment with insurance companies and Medicaid
  • Acts with a strong sense of integrity

Nice To Haves

  • At least 3 years prior experience working with children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Developmental Disabilities
  • Expertise in the administration and interpretation of psychological evaluations, including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – 2nd Edition
  • Possibility of supervision of post-doctoral fellow(s)

Responsibilities

  • Conducts comprehensive autism diagnostic evaluations that include administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – 2nd Edition, clinical interview with caregivers, and assessment of cognitive and adaptive functioning
  • Writes diagnostic reports and reviews findings and recommendations with families
  • Communicates clearly and effectively
  • Practices in accordance with APA ethical standards.
  • Submits session notes for billing in a timely manner
  • Adheres to Hope’s policies and procedures, as well as acts in accordance with the organization’s mission and vision
  • Works closely and collaboratively with the intake, billing, and clinical teams
  • Reviews consent forms with families prior to an appointment
  • Prepares documents or assessments to mail to families
  • Scans in documentation as needed and maintains neatness and completeness of electronic medical records and other files
  • Orders any testing materials or other resources, as needed
