About The Position

This position is responsible for performing diagnostic X-ray procedures in accordance with established standards and practices. The technologist will operate X-ray equipment, position patients, and ensure the quality and accuracy of diagnostic images. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and radiation safety principles.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiographic positioning.
• Proficiency in operating diagnostic X-ray equipment.
• Understanding of radiation safety principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, ensuring proper functioning and calibration.
• Position patients correctly for optimal image acquisition.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize patient and staff exposure.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of all diagnostic images.
• Maintain patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
