The Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound diagnostic procedures as requested by the physician. This role produces a variety of procedures that require independent judgment and initiative to create images for ultrasound diagnosis. The technologist will document test results, maintain hard copy images, and handle preventive maintenance on ultrasound equipment. They will also inspect equipment daily, document needed repairs, and maintain patient records as directed by hospital policy and procedure. Additionally, the role involves ordering supplies and maintaining inventory.
