About The Position
The Diagnostic Technician II is a full-time position responsible for performing diagnostic tests as ordered by an Ophthalmologist. This role contributes to the organization by providing essential diagnostic services to a wide range of patients and their physicians within the Diagnostics team. The position requires adherence to HIPAA regulations and a commitment to continuing education and professional development.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire date if not already certified).
- 3-5 years of work experience.
- 2+ years of ophthalmic testing experience.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of technical procedures including Advanced Fundus Photography for Study Certification, Fluorescein Angiography, Venipuncture, Slit Lamp Photography, Immersion A-Scans, B-Scan examination, Advanced IOL Calculations, and PDT Injections/Assist Doctor with Laser.
- Assumes responsibility for the overall cleanliness of diagnostic rooms.
- Advises Director of any problems with equipment.
- Complies with HIPPA regulations.
- Responsible for continuing education and professional development.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
