Per Diems shall be required to work 1 major and 2 minor holidays per year & 4 weekend days (Saturday or Sunday) per 3 month period of time. A weekend is defined as a Saturday or Sunday. Major and Minor Holidays are defined as: major holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day) and two (2) other holidays throughout the year if and as needed by the Medial Center.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology.
  • One year clinical experience recommended.
  • ARDMS Registered in OB/GYN or Breast or Abdomen, or Registry eligible.
  • Must be registered within 18 months of hire date
  • Frequently and intense visual activity at least 50 percent of the day.
  • Color recognition (shades and intensities).
  • Frequent lifting and repositioning of patients required.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks.
  • Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate computer and office equipment.
  • Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing and/or constant walking.
  • Ability to lift 10 lbs.
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships, to work well under pressure, to organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks.
  • Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills and flexibility.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Required detailed attention to work in an environment where interruptions cannot be controlled.
  • Demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations.
  • May be subject to irregular hours including evenings or potentially weekends to participate in operational and community events as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a full scope of General Ultrasound technological procedures including OB/GYN, Abdominal, Certain Vascular procedures (ie: Carotid and Venous doppler) and small parts utilizing Ultrasound scanning equipment on patients to assist the physician in the diagnosis of disease.
