About The Position

This is a full-time, day shift Diagnostic Radiology Technologist position at Fishers Hospital. The schedule is Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm and Friday 9:00am-5:30pm, with call and holiday rotation. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants. The role involves operating imaging equipment, preparing and positioning patients, collaborating with radiologists and physicians, following radiation safety protocols, documenting patient history and information in the EMR, and assisting with minimally invasive procedures as needed. The position requires staying current with continuing education and monitoring patients during exams for safety.

Requirements

0-3 years of relevant experience.
Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
Active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a recent graduate of an approved training program in Radiologic Technology (board eligible). If board eligible, must obtain credential in Radiography within 6 months of hire.
Current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist or a current ISDH Radiology Student Permit.

Responsibilities

Operates imaging equipment such as x-ray, fluoro, portable x-ray, and fluoroscopy equipment used in surgery.
Prepares patients by explaining exam and positioning them correctly.
Collaborates with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure accurate imaging.
Follows radiation safety protocols.
Documents detailed patient history.
Stays current with continuing education.
Monitors patients during exam for safety.
Documents necessary information in EMR.
Assists with minimally invasive procedures as needed.
