Diagnostic Radiology Technologist
About The Position
This position is for an upcoming diagnostic radiology technologist or recent graduate. The role involves operating imaging equipment such as x-ray, fluoro, portable x-ray, and fluoroscopy equipment used in surgery. Responsibilities include preparing patients by explaining the exam and positioning them correctly, collaborating with radiologists and referring physicians, following radiation safety protocols, documenting patient history and necessary information in the EMR, and monitoring patients during exams for safety. The position also assists with minimally invasive procedures as needed. This is a full-time, day shift position, Monday - Friday, from 8am-4:30pm, at Fishers Hospital, with call and holiday requirements.
Requirements
- 0-3 years of relevant experience.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
- Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
- Active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a recent graduate of an approved training program in Radiologic Technology (board eligible).
- If board eligible, must obtain credential in Radiography within 6 months of hire.
- Current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist or a current ISDH Radiology Student Permit.
Responsibilities
